How do I set my child up with an account?

It’s great that you want to use Universal Tennis with your kids, here are a few key pointers to get started!

  • Universal Tennis is built around the Profiles; this is the webpage that can show a player's history, their picture, their preferences etc.
  • Profiles are activated by a user who can customize and manage all aspects of this Profile.
  • Each player requires their own account at universaltennis.com and own unique email login (Example: if you’re a family with three tennis-loving kids, each child will need their own account and own email.)
  • This is especially important for players participating in Universal Tennis Events as the player profile is what's used to register them for their tournament.

Hint: Free email addresses to create accounts can be made at sites like gmail.com, hotmail.com

Steps To Create Your Child’s Account:

Step 1: Go to universaltennis.com and click Join. Sign up with your child's email address (so they can manage their profile as they grow up). Create your password and keep it somewhere safe.
Important: Each child requires their own unique email account

Step 2: Complete the fields to build your child's profile. Be sure to use their information for all fields.

Important: Enter your child's birthdate, not your own. Entering correct information here will allow the system to identify the child's results and details rather than yours, the parent.

Step 3: Review and agree to the Terms of Service. Once you review the links provided, check the box and click continue.

Note: This notice will only be displayed if the birthdate entered renders the child 13 years of age or less. Be sure to double-check the birthdate to ensure accuracy.

Step 4: Find or create your Player Profile. If you believe your child already has a profile, click Search and help us identify which profile may be yours. If your child is new to tennis, click Create New Profile to continue.

Step 5: Are you interested in playing college tennis? If not, answer no and move forward.

Tennis coaches use Universal Tennis to research, find, and connect with players for their teams.  If you are interested in exploring college tennis, you can share additional information on your UTR profile about your graduation year, academics, and tennis with college coaches.

Note: This notice will only be displayed if the birthdate entered demonstrates the child is of college age. Be sure to double-check the birthdate to ensure accuracy.

Step 6: Click Finish and complete your profile. (These steps may vary slightly depending on how the fields are completed.)
