We are excited to announce the 2026 Flex League City Championships taking place in March and October. At the end of each Flex League event, the top two players in each division will be on their way to qualify for the City Championships, where they will compete in a bracket against other event qualifiers with a similar UTR Rating to be named the Flex League City Champion. We typically crown a City Champion at each level (e.g., UTR 4 City Champion). City Championship matches are in a flexible format similar to the regular session matches, and all winners will receive prizes and bragging rights.
Event Schedule
City Championship 1: Begins March 18.
Qualification Window: Players must compete in two events held between August 20th, 2025, and March 4th, 2026
How to Qualify
Event Requirement: Complete at least 2 events (singles, doubles, or PlayMore doubles) within the qualification window.
Finish Requirement: Finish 1st or 2nd in at least one of those events.
Minimum Participation: At the end of the league session, the top two players of each division qualify, provided they have played at least one other event during the qualification window.
Rules and Regulations
- Matchmaking: Your opponents will be the qualifying players closest to you in UTR Rating.
- UTR Range: Almost all brackets will consist of players in the same UTR range (i.e., UTR 4.0 – 4.9).
- Bracket Structure: Your bracket will consist of a four-person bracket with all four players starting in the semi-final round. Exceptions of 2 or 3 players will be made.
- Manager Promotion: Flex League Managers may promote players to the City Championships on a need basis.
- Timeline: You will have 3 weeks to complete your matches.
- Single Match Exception: If you only have one match in your bracket, you will have 1.5 weeks to complete it.
- Extensions: Extensions are given to players currently enrolled in a traditional Flex session.
- Approval: Any extension on your City Championships match must be approved by the UTR Flex team.
- Standard Rules: The same rules and regulations that apply to regular league event matches apply to season City Championship matches.
- Final Decisions: UTR Sports Flex Leagues have the final say on all City Championship decisions.
