If you are a college coach and need to make any changes to your roster, you can do so by clicking on the roster tab from your college homepage at UTRSports.net!
Add a Player
Here you can view your entire roster and can sort your roster in a variety of ways. To add a player, click "Add a Player" right above your roster and type in the name of the player you would like to add.
Cannot find the profile you’re searching for? This is often due to profile or location details. Reach out to us, and we’ll be happy to help!
Edit Class Year, Redshirt Status, or Graduate Student Status
To update a player's information, click the three-dot menu next to their name and select Edit Class Year.
From here, you can
- Update a player's class year
- Designate a player as a Redshirt
- Designate a player as a Graduate Student
- Remove a player from your roster when appropriate
Historical Rosters
The new roster architecture stores rosters by season, allowing you to view previous years' rosters. Historical rosters preserve past team memberships, so players who transfer schools remain listed on the roster for the seasons they competed.
Multiple Teams Per College
Colleges can now manage multiple teams under a single institution, making it easier to organize teams by sport or level, such as the following:
- Varsity
- Junior Varsity (JV)
- Club
- Tennis
- Pickleball
- Padel
Roster Locking
To help ensure accurate Power 6 calculations, rosters may be locked during designated periods of the season. While a roster is locked, coaches may be temporarily unable to add, remove, or edit players until the lock period ends.
New: College Coach Views Feature
College Coach Views is a new feature that benefits both coaches and players. When you view a junior or high school player’s profile on UTR Sports, that player may be able to see that a college coach viewed them, depending on their eligibility and subscription level.
Why it matters:
- It gives players and families insight into who may be interested in recruiting them.
- It offers you as a coach a simple, passive way to show interest, helping you stay visible to potential recruits without needing direct outreach.
- Views are private to the player and not publicly visible.
There’s nothing extra you need to do. Just by viewing a player’s profile, you’re helping them track their recruiting journey.
