College Prospect Power (CPP) for College Coaches

College Prospect Power (CPP) provides tools to help college coaches manage prospective student-athletes and organize their recruiting activities on UTR Sports.

With CPP, college coaches can review player information, organize prospects using a shared ranking board, and set recruiting criteria to help manage incoming recruiting interest.

Two features are available to college coaches with an active College Coach subscription: Prospect Rankings and Recruit Criteria.

Who Can Use College Prospect Power (CPP)?

Prospect Rankings and Recruit Criteria are included with an a College Coach subscription.

To access these features, your coaching account must be linked to the relevant college program, and the program must have an active College Coach subscription.

Prospect Rankings

Prospect Rankings allow your coaching staff to maintain a single, shared ranked list of prospective student-athletes for your program.

Instead of maintaining separate spreadsheets, your coaching staff can use a shared ranking board to organize and prioritize prospects.

How Prospect Rankings Work

With Prospect Rankings, you can:

  • Rank prospects by dragging and dropping them into your preferred order.
  • Enter a rank number to position a prospect on the list.
  • Share one ranking board with the head coach and all assistant coaches linked to your program.
  • Access the same rankings across sessions and devices.

Your rankings are saved instantly, so changes are reflected across the shared board.

How Are New Prospects Added to the Rankings?

New prospects are added to the bottom of your ranking list.

If you remove a prospect, the remaining prospects are automatically renumbered to maintain the order of the list.

Are Prospect Rankings Shared With Other Coaches?

Yes. Prospect Rankings are shared across the coaching staff linked to your program.

The head coach and assistant coaches share the same ranking board. Changes made by one coach are reflected for everyone, so your staff can maintain a consistent view of recruiting priorities.

Note: If another coach changes your prospect rankings, this is expected behavior. The ranking board is shared across your program.

Recruit Criteria

Recruit Criteria allow your coaching staff to specify the type of prospective student-athletes your program is currently recruiting.

You can set a minimum singles UTR and a target graduating class to help manage incoming recruiting interest.

How to Set Recruit Criteria

To configure your program’s recruiting criteria:

  • Access CPP settings for your college program.
  • Mark your program as Currently Recruiting.
  • Set your minimum singles UTR.
  • Specify your target graduating class.

Choose whether to display your recruiting criteria on your public college profile.

Your criteria help communicate your program’s recruiting requirements to prospective student-athletes.

Note: Recruit Criteria are available to college coaches with an active College Coach subscription whose accounts are linked to the relevant program.

How Recruit Criteria Affect College Alerts

Recruit Criteria help manage the email alerts your coaching staff receives when prospective student-athletes express interest in your program.

When a player alerts your college, their profile is evaluated against your program’s recruiting criteria.

If the player meets your criteria, the alert follows the normal notification process.

If the player doesn’t meet your criteria:

  • The player’s interest is still recorded.
  • The player is still added to your prospect list.
  • Your coaching staff won’t receive an email alert about that player’s interest.
  • The player sees a message explaining that they don’t currently meet your program’s criteria.

This allows your coaching staff to manage email notifications without losing track of prospective student-athletes who have expressed interest.

Important: Players who don’t meet your recruiting criteria are not excluded from your prospect list. Their interest is still recorded, even when an email alert isn’t sent.

Recruiting Videos

Recruiting Videos allow eligible players to showcase their tennis skills directly from their UTR Sports profiles.

Players with an eligible Annual Power subscription who are aged 14–25 can add up to four recruiting videos from YouTube, Vimeo, or Hudl.

Each video can include a title of up to 50 characters and a description of up to 150 characters.

Verified college coaches can view saved recruiting videos on a player’s Student Info tab. Videos appear in the order selected by the player.

If a player hasn’t added any recruiting videos, the section won’t appear on their profile.

Recruiting Videos provide additional context when reviewing a prospective student-athlete’s profile and tennis history.
