When setting up an event, providers can configure three types of fees: Entry Fee, Division Fee, and Withdrawal Fee. Understanding these differences helps ensure a smooth registration process and clear fee structures for players.
Fee Type | Description |
Entry Fee | An optional per-player fee that applies to all divisions a player registers for. If enabled, players must pay this in addition to any division fees. |
Division Fee | A fee specific to each division a player registers for. Players must pay this fee for every division they enter. |
Withdrawal Fee | An optional fee charged if a player withdraws from all registered divisions. It can only be set if an entry fee is enabled and must be less than the entry fee. |
Example Scenario:
A player registers for two divisions with the following setup:
- $10 Entry Fee (applies once, no matter how many divisions)
- $20 Division Fee per division
- $5 Withdrawal Fee (charged if the player withdraws from all divisions)
Total cost at registration:
$10 (entry fee) + $40 (two division fees) = $50
If the player withdraws from all divisions:
$5 withdrawal fee is charged.
Entry Fee – Important Notes
- Entry fees are optional—if enabled, players must pay the set entry fee in addition to any division fees.
- If an entry fee is enabled, doubles divisions must use the ‘Pay Separately’ payment option.
- The minimum entry fee is $6.
A Stripe processing fee applies to each entry fee, varying by country and account: contact Stripe for details.
Withdrawal Fee – Important Notes
- Withdrawal fee is optional and can only be enabled if an entry fee is set.
- The withdrawal fee must be less than the entry fee.
- It is only charged if a player withdraws from all registered divisions.
- Once an event has registrants, the withdrawal fee cannot be changed.
- Providers can set a rule to charge the withdrawal fee only after a certain date.
